2015 Nissan Xterra Review of the PRO-4X
Our exclusive Nissan Xterra Review features the PRO-4X edition which is Nissan’s off-road version of the Xterra. The PRO-4X package offers you exterior fog lights, as well as roof off-road lights, and 16-inch machined alloy wheels – designed especially for off road driving. Also as part of the PRO-4X package are Bilstein performance shocks and a front skid plate, when it comes to off-roading – there are no excuses with the 2015 Xterra.
This mid-size SUV comes standard with a 4-liter 290-horsepower V6 engine, offering you plenty of power. Unlike most SUVs and Crossovers, the Xterra uses a body-on-frame construction which means that the Xterra is actually an SUV built on a truck frame. Being built on a truck frame makes the Xterra durable and rugged. Part of that ruggedness you can see with its reinforced back bumper and hard plastic rear cargo area that makes clean-up a cinch. For additional cargo space, our Nissan Xterra Review shows how the rear seats fold down in a 60-40 split, allowing you room for those extra long cargo items.
See What’s Inside
One of the key design features of the Xterra is the raised roof portion which has remained consistent over the years. Our Nissan Xterra Review shows how the raised roof allows the ability for second-row stadium seating for the comfort and convenience of all the passengers inside. As well as being a rugged SUV, the 2015 Xterra offers plenty of interior features and conveniences you would expect in a quality SUV. The PRO-4X in our Nissan Xterra review features heated and cooled seats, Bluetooth, Navigation, Back-up Camera, as well as a Rockford Fosgate sound system. New for 2015, Nissan has integrated the Nissan Connect suite of apps which allows you to control features like Pandora, XM Radio, Traffic and Weather – all from your 5.8-inch touchscreen display.
