Kingston Nissan proudly announces that their Ozzie Fund program has raised a total of $13,381 that has been given to 5 animal shelters in the Hudson Valley.
“We want to thank everyone who contributed even a little bit to the Ozzie Fund,” said Tom Gordon, general manager at Kingston Nissan. “We take pride in knowing that Ozzie’s legacy of love goes beyond our dealership’s doors to help other animals in need.”
Kingston Nissan donated $5 to the Ozzie Fund for every vehicle sold at the dealership. Additionally, Kingston Nissan also matched all contributions made to the program up to $50 during 2016.
The shelters that received contributions from the Ozzie Fund include Hudson Valley Animal Rescue & Sanctuary, Ulster County SPCA, Woodstock Farm Sanctuary, Saugerties Animal Shelter and Paws Unlimited.
The Ozzie Fund was started as a way to pay tribute to Kingston Nissan’s late mascot Ozzie, an English bulldog who was the companion of dealership general manager Tom Gordon for 11 years. Locals remember Ozzie from their visits to the showroom, starring in commercials and being shown on billboards.
